Columbus, Ohio — Megan Pando, founder of Makers Social, has officially secured a deal on ABC’s hit reality series Shark Tank after her national television pitch aired earlier this year. Following a compelling presentation showcasing her interactive makerspace and cocktail bar concept, Pando accepted an investment offer from one of the show’s star investors, Kevin O’leary, marking a major milestone for the Columbus-based business.

Makers Social, which combines hands-on DIY workshops (including jewelry-making, leatherwork, and woodworking) with craft cocktails and a vibrant social atmosphere, has attracted attention for transforming nights out into creative, communal experiences since its launch in 2020.

After asking for investment to accelerate growth and expand the concept to new locations, Pando struck a deal with investor Kevin O’Leary on the Shark Tank stage. As part of the agreement, O’Leary committed [$150,000 for 20% equity]* in Makers Social, affirming confidence in the business’s potential to scale and resonate with wider audiences.
