Makers Social DIY Project & Cocktail Bar

FAQ

What the FAQ are we doing here?

Nope! Everyone will be given supplies, tools, & step-by-step instructions to complete their individual projects!

Nope! We operate the same way a restaurant does. You’ll be greeted, seated at a table with our Project Menus, and your project leader (server) will take your orders (beverages and craft projects). You’ll then be provided with full table service throughout the visit while you craft. They’ll take your payment at the end!

Tipping is always optional for groups under 10 guests. 20% gratuity is added for groups of 10 or more. Our highly trained project leaders & bartenders will provide full table service & assistance with projects. We operate exactly like a restaurant, except your server wears a tool belt instead of an apron!

Yep! We recommend adult supervision for all kids, and especially those under 10. There are sharp tools, scissors, and hammers EVERYWHERE. All of our projects are great for kids approximately age 8+ (and with adult help).

We have aprons, but we definitely recommend leaving your Gucci sweater at home. We use leather dye, wood stain, and acrylic paint. These are all difficult (sometimes impossible) to remove from fabric.

Of course! We have delicious mocktails, soda pops, juice, non-alcoholic beers, etc.

Yes, you may bring in any food you’d like! We only serve popcorn, chips, and fruit snacks. Be sure to bring your own utensils as well.

Just email us if you have more than 10 people, and we’ll help you choose if you’d want a private party or just a large reservation during our open hours. hello@makerscolumbus.com

Paid parking is available on the streets via the ParkColumbus smartphone app, and there is a paid garage directly behind our building.

Of course not! If some people in your group don’t want to, they can always join to just simply socialize. After all, it’s in our name, so that’s half of our mission!

If you were required to input a credit card through our reservation system when booking, you would have been told the window of time permitted for cancellation. Typically, 5 or more guests must cancel more than 24 hours in advance, while 10 or more guests must cancel at least 7 days in advance. All no-shows or cancellations made with less notice than that will be charged $20 per person. We are a very small venue who is greatly impacted by no-shows and last minute cancellations. We appreciate your cooperation!
