As a bartender and/or project leader at Makers Social, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our company’s culture, boosting & improving every aspect of the business as a whole, creating exceptional customer experiences, and working alongside the rest of the team to grow the business.

REQUIREMENTS

  • ServSafe certified
  • 3+ years of experience in the service industry
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Experience in high volume restaurant/bar
  • 1+ year of experience in Sales
  • Based in Columbus, Ohio
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Availability to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

ROLE

As a bartender and/or project leader at Makers Social, you will play a pivotal role in upholding our company’s culture, boosting & improving every aspect of the business as a whole, creating exceptional customer experiences, and working alongside the rest of the team to grow the business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Bartender Responsibilities:
  • Mix drinks using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits, including standard and unique drinks
  • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest and maintain a safe environment by identifying problem clients and having them removed
  • Keep bar area clean, safe and organized in order to to streamline drink preparation and inventory
  • Collect money for drinks served and providing change as needed; Balance cash receipts; -Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night
  • Mix all drinks based on the standard serving sizes and following recipes
  • Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar and in the dining room satisfied at all times
  • Take beverage orders from customers or wait staff and serving drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail
  • Provide a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons
  • Check identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers
  • Monitoring all patrons for alcohol intake to appropriate levels and attempting to curtail inappropriate behavior
  • Checking customers in at the host stand, and greeting them with our specific word-for-word greeting and description of how what their customer experience will be if they are a new-comer
  • Bussing tables to prepare for new arrivals
  • All cleaning duties on the opening & closing checklists as well as the daily, weekly, and monthly sidework and prep-work lists
 
Project Leader Responsibilities:
  • Prepare project kits with supplies and tools for customers
  • Deliver tools and supplies to customer tables
  • Table service including all steps of service when it comes to checking on customers throughout their stay
  • Giving each customer our customized, specific greeting with the description of the business and what the customer can expect in their experience
  • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each guest and maintain a safe environment by identifying problem clients and having them removed
  • Keep back bar are clean and prepared
  • Collect payments and providing change as needed; Balance cash receipts; Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night
  • Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar and in the dining room satisfied at all times
  • Take beverage orders and project orders from customers or wait staff and serving drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail
  • Provide a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons
  • Check identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers (if helping the bartender)
  • Monitoring all patrons for alcohol intake to appropriate levels and attempting to curtail inappropriate behavior (and reporting this to the bartender)
  • Checking customers in at the host stand, and greeting them with our specific word-for-word greeting and description of how what their customer experience will be if they are a new-comer
  • Bussing tables to prepare for new arrivals
  • All cleaning duties on the opening & closing checklists as well as the daily, weekly, and monthly sidework and prep-work lists
